Canada's Scrap Metal Price Index
Real benchmark prices for copper, aluminium, steel, brass, and more — across 20 Canadian cities. Know what your metal is worth before you walk into a yard.
How the Price Index Works
We track commodity markets, aggregate real-world yard payouts, and present the data in one place — so you walk into any yard knowing what your metal is worth.
Commodity Data
We pull live LME (London Metal Exchange) spot prices daily and apply Canadian yard-margin adjustments to derive realistic benchmarks in CAD per kilogram.
Community Payouts
Sellers submit the actual price they received at Canadian yards. These real-world data points calibrate our estimates and surface which cities and yards are paying more.
Local Breakdowns
Prices are broken out by city, metal, and grade. High-construction markets like Vancouver and Toronto often pay more for copper. Prairie cities track the energy sector.
